Altitudinal Variation in Prevalence of COVID-19 Infection in India: Data-based Analysis

Background: The present study aims to analyze the epidemiological data of COVID-19 in Indian subcontinent terms altitude, understand difference body’s response COVID at high altitudes comparison low-lands and whether physiological adaptation counteract hypoxic environment altitudes, is also protective against adverse impacts COVID-19. Material Methods: relationship reported positive cases deaths per million population was compared different altitudes. Results: decline with altitude. Conclusion: There might be a role decreasing prevalence infection. Various environmental factors that contribute altitudinal variations are discussed.
